We are proud to share that Jo Barnard has been named the winner of the 2025 Bentley Lighthouse Award at the Dezeen Awards. The award recognises designers whose work demonstrates originality, integrity and a lasting contribution to the future of design. The full announcement can be read on Dezeen here.

Supported by Bentley, the Lighthouse Award celebrates individuals who use design as a positive force for change. It highlights work that balances creativity with responsibility, and innovation with real-world impact. This is a space Jo has occupied throughout her career, from founding Morrama in 2015 to leading projects that challenge how products are made, used and valued.

Jo’s approach to design is rooted in sustainability, systems thinking and careful craft. Under her direction, Morrama has grown into a studio working across industries including personal care, consumer electronics, healthcare and lifestyle, always with a focus on reducing environmental impact and improving everyday experiences. The Lighthouse Award reflects this long-term commitment to thoughtful, responsible design rather than any single moment or project.

This recognition feels particularly meaningful as Morrama enters its second decade. It is a reflection of consistent values, collaborative practice and the shared efforts of the team, our partners and our clients.
